About the Role
Our team of Speech Language Therapists work in flexible roles across different aetiologies and settings. You may be asked to work in the inpatient, outpatient or community setting, although the main focus is likely to be inpatients. . There will be a wide range of aetiologies to cover, and strong generalist skills will be an advantage. All work will be with the adult population.
This is a casual position where there are no set hours. You will be called upon on an as-per-needed basis, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.30AM to 5.30PM.
The majority of work is likely to be at Nelson Hospital. It would be an advantage if you were also able to travel to Wairau Hospital from time to time but this is not a requirement.

About the Team/Service/ Location
We have a district-wide speech-language therapy team. We currently have five SLTs working in Nelson and three in Wairau. Most staff are part-time. Team members work in flexible roles across different aetiologies and settings.

About you
As a casual Speech Language Therapist, you will have:
· A relevant qualification in speech-language therapy that is recognised and approved by the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA);
· Registered member with the NZSTA;
· A current full driver’s licence;
· A minimum of two years’ experience in the hospital setting is preferred.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
