Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) is looking for an experienced Anaesthetist. This is a permanent position at 0.625 FTE working 25 hours a fortnight plus afterhours 1:15 on call. The position joins a team of 14 experienced and supportive colleagues and one training registrar.
You will be working within a secondary setting participating on
the anaesthetic roster, including covering:planned care elective/acute theatre
sessions, medical after-hours on call support, pre-anaesthetic check clinics,
duty and Acute Anaesthetist responsibilities.
When rostered as the duty Anaesthetist, or when covering the
after-hours on call, you’ll support other departments including: the intensive
care unit, emergency department, medical, obstetrics and paediatric patients
requiring anaesthetic support.

We are looking for a specialist who is ready to bring their skills and experience to a smaller provincial hospital and enjoy the lifestyle that this affords. You will be vocationally registered with the NZ Medical Council and hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or equivalent, or be eligible for the same. Postgraduate fellowship training is desirable.

The salary for these positions will be as per the current senior
medical and dental officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experience
and gaining full vocational registration in NZ. You will also have access to up
to 10 days CME Leave and an allowance to put towards your continued medical
