About the Role
As a Service Lead, you will be based in Nelson with travel to Blenheim as required. This is a leadership position with three Team leader reports. Our service focus is on the importance of caring for both the children who come to us, their primary caregivers and whanau in enabling them to take a short break . This enables the person we support to experience time away from home and provides primary care givers time for themselves or with other siblings or whanau
Service Lead roles are busy and at times hectic. Staffing shortages and other daily challenges means you will need to be flexible, think fast, be resilient and have a great sense of humor. You will receive support from your manager and other Service leads along with external supervision.
You will be working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE).
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our three homes are located in Stoke, Nelson and Blenheim. The service has a number of support workers reporting to each Team lead who work across the week and also in school holiday programmes. Children access the service and are scheduled for their stay in consultation with the Team and their family members.

About you
As a Service Lead, you’ll be a leader who has vision, courage, passion, confidence, and commitment as well as encourages innovation.
- The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
- You will hold one of the following
qualifications or Equivalent:
- A New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4 )
- A New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience working in the field of disability is advantageous.
