Risk Advisor, District-wide – Nelson Hospital, Fixed Term (6 months) Part-time

The Clinical Governance Support team is seeking a dedicated Risk Advisor to play a vital role in supporting the implementation and ongoing management of a new local Risk Register management system.

About the Role
As a Risk Advisor, you will implement risk modules and foster a culture of risk awareness that recognises external environments and promotes a preventative focus rather than reactive. You’ll work closely with other stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, review and report risks. You’ll also need to facilitate, train and develop other staff in risk management and support continuous improvement of risk maturity.
This is a fixed term role for 6 months, part-time working 64 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday. No on-call. Please note, this is a district wide position meaning you’ll need to travel between Nelson and Blenheim to perform the role’s duties.

Working with the Clinical Governance Support team means supporting the wider organisation to keep moving forward. About you
As a Risk Advisor, you will:
- Have at least 3 years experience in risk management;
- Collaborate well with others, be a self-starter and navigate ambiguity well;
- Have a curious mindset and bring a different perspective;
- Already acquire strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
