Ward 10 is a 27 bed General Surgical ward which provides acute and elective care across Colorectal, Vascular, Urology, Breast and Trauma specialties and includes a 3 bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). We practice in a collaborative patient partnership model of care to achieve best possible outcomes for our patients/families and whānau.

Nurses are encouraged to participate in professional development opportunities and experience within the IMCU facilitates opportunities to challenge your knowledge and practise caring for high acuity patients.
Our nurses' benefit from great working relationships between multidisciplinary health professionals and the surgical teams.
Shifts will be rostered and rotating Sunday to Monday, with the flexibility to swap shifts and request preferred rosters.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will be a NZ Registered or Enrolled Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and post-registration nursing experience in an acute care setting.
You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.
