You will never have an uneventful day in the Wairau Hospital Emergency Department! ED nursing uses all your skills and provides daily learning opportunities. We focus on excellent, quality care and are committed to improving the experience of patients and their whanau.
We provide a supportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges of this diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service.
Our Emergency Department is co-located with our well-equipped High Dependency/Acute Assessment Unit (HDU/AAU).
We are now recruiting to permanent positions from 0.6 FTE (48 hours a fortnight) up to 0.9 FTE (72 hours a fortnight).

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and post-registration nursing experience in emergency or acute care. You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations.
