About the Role

You will be providing excellent service to our inpatients by enabling safe, efficient and timely discharge

This is a permanent 0.7FTE, working between Monday and Sunday, and between the hours of 0700 – 1730, supporting our patients and inpatient teams with timely discharge.

About the Team/Service/ Location

This is an addition to our inpatient teams who focus on discharge already in the inpatient units based in Nelson hospital working collaboratively with the Integrated Operations Centre and the impatient ward teams.

About you

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Recent acute care hospital experience
  • In-depth understanding of discharge processes
  • An understanding of patient flow
  • A commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team
  • Versatility and flexibility
  • Current Registered Nurse registration and NZNC practising certificate.

This role would suit a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great assessment and time management skills, is confident in their practice, can work autonomously and can relate well to a wide variety of stakeholders including patients, families and our multidisciplinary teams.
