Registered Nurse – Patients as Risk (PAR)

- Please note: It is an organisational requirement that RN’s work a minimum of 0.7 FTE. If you are applying externally you will need to pick up FTE in an additional role.

About the Role
The Patient at Risk (PAR) service supports acutely unwell patients on the wards and provides a conduit to ICCU. This is a 24/7 nursing led service, with full consultant support.
About the Team/Service
The PAR service uses a multi-disciplinary approach to identify patients at risk of, or developing, critical illness in the general ward environment. The emphasis is on support and helping to educate ward staff to recognise clinical deterioration and rapidly initiate an appropriate escalation of care.
The PAR team respond to medical emergencies, acute referrals and ICCU follow-ups across all inpatient services. The service will provide 24/7 cover, with the expectation you will work across all shifts, Monday to Sunday. The PAR team will be line managed by the ACNM ICCU.

We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals who have a passion for providing care to the deteriorating patient. If you have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise competing demands and a willingness to share your skills and knowledge we encourage you to apply.
