About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate to join our Outpatient nursing team at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. The role provides nursing care to support patients through their outpatient journey and requires you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs. Shifts will be rostered and rotating Monday to Sunday 0800 to 1630 with the occasional weekend clinic.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Outpatient Department at Wairau Hospital is home to a small but highly dedicated team of Registered Nurses, HCAs, and Technicians. We support a wide range of health needs, providing both in-person and telehealth clinics, and assisting with clinical procedures — all with a shared commitment to delivering the best possible health outcomes for our community.

Wairau Hospital is located in the stunning region of Te Tau Ihu, Te Waiharakeke (Blenheim) at the top of the South Island, surrounded by beautiful mountains, rolling hills, rivers, and coastal landscapes.

About you

Recent general medical and/or general surgical experience is preferred.

You will be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality and achieving best possible outcomes for our patients/families and whānau.

You will have well-developed assessment skills and will ideally have general medical and/or surgical nursing experience and the ability to work with/learn the use of information technology programmes used in the Outpatient department.
