- Casual position as and when required

About the Role
The principle focus of this casual role is to provide holistic specialist nurse assessment, care and education to patients and whanau diagnosed with cancer.
About the Team/Location
The Oncology Nursing team is a dedicated group of specialist nurses
focused on providing compassionate, community-centred care to individuals
throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment. Located on the
ground floor of Wairau Hospital in Blenheim, the department offers a range of
services, including oncology outpatient clinics and chemotherapy infusions, and
serves as the base for the Oncology Nursing Service.
About You
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals and their whānau through the challenges of a cancer diagnosis and treatment journey
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to achieving credentialing for the administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work in a structured and coordinated way
- NZ registered nurse with advanced communication skills, nursing expertise, and a high level of clinical knowledge and capability
- A current PDRP portfolio, or working towards Proficient or Expert level
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s license
- A post-graduate nursing qualification is desirable
