Registered Nurse discharge lounge 1.0 FTE fixed term

About the Role
You will be providing excellent service to our inpatients by enabling safe, efficient and timely discharge
This is a temporary position, working 80 hours a fortnight, Monday to Friday between the hours of 0700 – 1600, supporting our patients and inpatient teams with timely discharge.
This will be fulfilling work, with time to enjoy the Nelson lifestyle.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be working with Flow Co Ordinator and the Duty Nurse Manager. You will be based in W10 lounge area but when required may help in wards with discharge processes.
About you
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Recent acute care hospital experience
- In-depth understanding of discharge processes
- An understanding of patient flow
- A commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team
- Versatility and flexibility
- Current Registered Nurse registration and NZNC practising certificate.
This role would suit a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great assessment and time management skills, is confident in their practice, can work autonomously and can relate well to a wide variety of stakeholders including patients, families and our multidisciplinary teams.
