About the Role
As a Project Manager – Hospital, you will drive and implement change to optimise hospital flow, working collaboratively within clinical and operational teams to enhance hospital efficiency and minimise obstacles across the patient journey.
This role is fixed term, full-time for 24 months working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0), Monday to Friday. There is no on-call required.

Working on Project Whakatupuranga, the Nelson Hospital redevelopment, means directly contributing to a brighter future for the community. This project is set on improving access to modern healthcare models for our evolving population. As a member of this team, you'll be instrumental in shaping a design that integrates streamlined processes and advanced technology, ultimately enriching the experience for patients, their whānau, and staff across Te Tau Ihu (Top of the South) for generations

About you
As a Project Manager – Hospital, you will:
- Have strong interpersonal skills for building relationships,
- Have high levels of motivation and initiative,
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team,
- Adapt to changing circumstances and unexpected challenges,
- Have experience in managing complex healthcare projects,
- Be familiar with PMP or PRINCE2,
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
