About the Role

As a Physiotherapist (Rotational), you will enjoy a variety of work across the hospital setting.  The block rotations are between inpatient and outpatient services with a mix of medical, surgical, musculoskeletal and  rehabilitation. You’ll also be part of the weekend on-call roster. 

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing quality assessment, intervention, advice and discharge planning through a patient-centred approach. The role requires you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs.

This is a permanent full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday between 6.00AM to 8.00PM. You’ll be based at Nelson Hospital.

About you

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • NZ registration in Physiotherapy and a current practising certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based practice, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
