About the Role

As a Physiotherapist , you will be based at Wairau Hospital working within the  physiotherapy team providing care for clients with a wide range of conditions.  We are particularly interested in hearing from physiotherapists with experience in  the outpatient and community settings. 

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing quality assessment and goal orientated interventions, through a patient-centred approach. This role requires you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs.

This role would be suitable for someone with post graduate experience of at least 2 years.

This is a permanent part-time role working 56 hours per fortnight (0.7FTE), Monday to Friday. There will be physiotherapy on-call in the weekends.

About you

We are looking for a clinician who has a genuine passion for working with clients and being part of a dynamic and supportive Physiotherapy team. 

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • NZ registration in Physiotherapy and a current practising certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based practice, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Minimum of two years post graduate experience.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
