Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

The role of a Pharmacy Technician involves dispensing, ward supply, stock control and assisting in the day-to-day running of the dispensary and pharmacy services. You will also have the opportunity to work at the top of scope of practice; including assisting with medicines reconciliation and discharge planning in clinical areas, and other tasks that relate directly to patient safety and care.

Please Note: There are no guaranteed hours of work associated with casual employment.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

You will hold a New Zealand National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) or equivalent. Previous hospital experience is preferred but not essential. You will have the flexibility to work on an as required basis.

It will be important that you manage your time effectively, are a competent communicator, an accurate record keeper and pay close attention to detail. You will have a good level of computer competency and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software. Of equally importance is your ability to fit well into a team environment and contribute to making the workplace enjoyable and productive.  We are always appreciative of new ideas and smarter ways of working, so a willingness to share ideas is also a must.
