About the Role
As a Personal Assistant in the Clinical Services area, you will provide support to the Associate Director of Nursing/Operations Manager and Associate Director of Midwifery/Operations Manager, as well as general office administration. You will be based inside a busy hospital environment working with executives, senior doctors, departmental heads, charge nurses and midwives on a daily basis.
It is fixed term until June 2026.

About you
As a Personal Assistant in the Clinical Services area, you will:
- Have well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have commitment to excellence and sound customer service skills.
- Display confidence in prioritising your own workflow.
- Manage your deadlines in a positive manner.
- be working as part of a team.
- Display confidentiality and discretion at a senior level.
Key requirements for this position include:
- A mature outlook with a real desire to help people.
- Advanced organisational and planning ability.
- Strong multi-tasking and ability to prioritise and juggle competing demands
- Ability to remain calm in high demand situations.
- Proven experience of minute taking.
- Ability to exercise appropriate initiative and a proactive approach.
- A willingness to be flexible, innovative and undertake other duties as required.
- Empathy and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including programmes to enhance and support administrative tasks, document and spreadsheet creation and management and confidence in using software components to optimise meeting and workflow management
We are looking for a mature and energetic, project confident, self-starter, with a pleasant personality, who has several years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the health sector, or other complex environment.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
