About the Role
We are seeking a Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our Child Development Service (CDS). This rewarding role provides assessment, intervention, and support for children with disabilities and developmental needs, working in partnership with their whānau and wider support networks.
As a Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will:
- Deliver physiotherapy services that promote participation, independence, and wellbeing;
- Work across a variety of settings including clinics, homes, early childhood centres, and schools;
- Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention tailored to each child's individual goals.
This is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau while making a lasting impact on their development and quality of life.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE), Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.00AM to 6.00PM. No on-call is required.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Child Development Service (CDS) team has a strong commitment to child protection and is dedicated to helping tamariki achieve optimum function and wellbeing. We provide multi-disciplinary therapy for children with disabilities referred to the service, in partnership with their whānau. This role is community-based and works closely with whānau, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support positive outcomes for tamariki and young people across the region.

About you
As a Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will:
- Be a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Have experience working with children and young people, preferably within a paediatric or community setting;
- Demonstrate excellent assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills;
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
