About the Role
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will see children with neuro-developmental disorders, developmental delay, sensory issues, functional challenges and much, much more. You will work collaboratively with other health and disability colleagues and services. The role will require you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 60 hours per fortnight (0.75 FTE), Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.00AM to 6.00PM.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Child Development Service (CDS) team has a strong commitment to child protection and is dedicated to helping children achieve optimum function and wellbeing. We provide multi-disciplinary intervention and education for children with disabilities, in partnership with their whānau; this role spans community and outpatient settings.

About you
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be passionate about working with children and being part of multi-disciplinary team. It is highly desirable that you have post registration clinical experience in paediatrics.
You will:
- Be a NZ registered occupational therapist, with a current APC and have Enable Assessor accreditation,
- Have experience and a passion for working in paediatrics,
- Have excellent communication and rapport building skills with tamariki and their whānau,
- Share our passion for delivering an excellent service, whilst being a dedicated team player,
- Be committed to adhering to best practice and extending your own professional development.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
