About the Role

We are looking for Oral Health Therapists to join our team in either Nelson/Stoke/Richmond or Motueka or Marlborough.

As an Oral Health Therapist, you will be committed to best practice prevention and treatment. We support therapists to grow their practice skills to offer the full range of preventative and restorative options.

The role offers you a great team environment providing oral health services to some of the 23,000 children across the region who are enrolled from birth.

We have 1 position,  which is a total of 1.0 FTE position and made up of 0.6 FTE permanent and 0.4 FTE fixed term for 12 months.  This position can be based in any of one of our three Hubs which are located in Motueka or Richmond/Stoke/Nelson or Wairau.  Please indicate your preference of Hub location in your cover letter.

  • The position works 5 days per week between 8.00AM to 5.00PM with one hour lunch break (12.30pm – 1.30pm). 

About the Team/Service/ Location

We have several locations:  Nelson, Stoke, Richmond, Motueka and Blenheim.  Our facilities are modern and computerised, using Titanium with digital radiography.  We employ 1:1 ratio of dental assistants to therapists with reception staff to support.  Whether you are a new/recent graduate or an experienced practitioner you will be supported by your Clinical Coordinator and Professional Leader as we tailor our orientation to your needs.

About you

As an Oral Health Therapist, you will: 

  • Be registered New Zealand Dental Therapist / Oral Health Therapist with annual practicing certificate,
  • Have sound knowledge of oral health promotion,
  • Have excellent organisation and time management skills,
  • Be flexible and adaptable withing a changing environment. 

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
