Operational Team Leader Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, Wairau Hospital, Permanent Part-time

About the Role
As an Operational Team Leader, you willprovide day to day operational management, leadership and planning for the Occupational and Physiotherapy Services based at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim.You will lead service delivery improvements and support professional development within the team. Collaborating closely with professional leads, clinical coordinators, nursing managers, and specialist modalities, you will ensure staff are well-supported to provide patient-centred care. You will also represent the team at leadership forums to contribute to strategic planning and service development.
This role will contribute to delivering a sustainable high-quality service that contributes to the health and wellbeing of our community and the achievement of organisational goals.
You will be a valued member of the Allied Health leadership team and will provide expert strategic leadership, partnering with Professional Leaders and other community service managers. Although this position is located at Wairau Hospital, Blenheim, there is the requirement to travel across the district as the Allied Health services require.
This role is permanent, part-time working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE), Monday to Friday between 8.00AM to 5.00PM.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants provide service within inpatient, outpatient and community settings in the Marlborough region. The role is supported by professional leads for occupational therapy and physiotherapy as well as an allied health leadership team across the Te Tau Ihu region.
The service provides high quality care and includes some specialty services and is delivered by a cohesive, warm and supportive team.

About you
As an Operational Team Leader, you will:
- have relevant operational / management skills and experience leading interdisciplinary teams,have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills,
- have experience of working with other professions in multidisciplinary / inter-professional settings,
- leads by example and creates an environment that encourages a positive team culture, a high level of staff engagement and performance.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
