The Older Persons’ Mental Health Inpatient Unit, at Alexandra Hospital in Richmond, provides psychiatric and geriatric care for the older members of our community. We aspire to provide high quality inpatient care to patients with acute mental health needs and/or complex age related health conditions. We work in partnership with our patients, their families, the clinical team and community carers and supports to achieve the best possible health outcome for the patient.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated and friendly team, working 64 hours a fortnight (0.8FTE), Monday to Friday. This is a varied role including working individually with patients, undertaking assessments, group work/activities education and support to the wider team.

This position would be of interest to both experienced and newly graduated Occupational Therapists. In either case you will be an enthusiastic and energetic NZ registered Occupational Therapist with well-developed people skills.
