This is an exciting opportunity to join our Radiology department here at Wairau Hospital where we offer a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General Radiography, CT Scanning, Ultrasound and Mammography. 

The full-time equivalent salary range for MITs working 40 hours a week is $57,565 to $86,128 (Grades 1 to 8) based on the current Medical Imaging Technologists Collective Agreement (1 Nov 2019 – 31 Aug 2022), dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

You will be registered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC.

You will be a positive, friendly and supportive team player with a good sense of humour and:

  • sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography
  • well-developed communication skills and empathy
  • the passion to deliver high-quality healthcare
  • the flexibility to work a Mon-Sun rotating roster with on call.

Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of NZ approved COVID-19 vaccines as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public.
