About the Role
We have a permanent part‑time opportunity (56 hours per fortnight .7 FTE) for a Medical Imaging Technologist to join our dedicated Radiology team. The work is varied, challenging, and interesting, supporting high‑quality diagnostic imaging across the region. You will work on a 24/7 rotating roster (Monday–Sunday), always as part of a team – no one works alone.
There is no on-call for this position.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Nelson Hospital Radiology is a leading diagnostic provider with three brand new Philips DR rooms and a team of experienced professionals. Our department offers a comprehensive range of imaging services, including General Radiography, CT scanning, MRI, Interventional/Cardiac Cath Lab and ultrasound, dedicating a gold standard service to a diverse patient population. We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service to improve patient outcomes.

About you
You will:
- Be NZ registered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC
- Have sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography
- Deliver high‑quality imaging with strong attention to patient safety
- Be a positive team player with a good sense of humour
- Provide compassionate, patient‑focused care
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
