About the Role

As a Hospital Cleaner, you will  help the hospital run smoothly by providing an efficient cleaning service for the patients and staff .

Types of duties are - but not limited to:

  • Offering morning and afternoon tea (drinks and snacks);
  • Collecting meal trays from patients after each meal;
  • Mopping the floors using specific equipment which training is provided to use;
  • Cleaning offices, bathrooms and ward rooms;

This is a permanent, part-time role working 18 hours per fortnight (0.225 FTE), Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 3.00PM to 7.30PM.

In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening (after 8.00PM) and weekend work, and public holidays worked.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Household team of nearly 88 value teamwork and are committed to supporting the best possible health outcomes for our patients.

Our main location is Nelson but we are spread across the region and service all parts of the community. We have Household services based at Wairau Hospital and Alexandra Hospital also.

About you

Full training will be provided. No experience is required.
