We are looking for a highly competent administrator to support the Faster Cancer Treatment (FCT) initiative at Wairau Hospital on a permanent part-time basis, working 40 hours a fortnight.
The role is responsible for supporting and coordinating the implementation of systems and processes to ensure that Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) consistently promotes best practice and care for managing cancer services, as part of the national initiative. The role facilitates increased clinical activity by enabling the best use of clinicians’ time spent caring for patients.
Attendance at the cancer multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs) is required every Monday, commencing 8.00AM, however, other hours can be flexible as negotiated with the preferred applicant.

You must be a highly organised, forward thinker, with excellent communication skills. You will also be systems orientated with a high degree of computer literacy and administration experience at a senior level. Your skills and background will include:
- Proficiency with excel at an advanced level
- Ability to interpret and report on data
- Experience with videoconferencing
- Database management experience
- Fluency with medical terminology
- Experience with agenda management and minute taking in professional meetings.
