District Nurse

About the Role
The District Nursing Service runs a daytime roster that includes some weekend shifts.
In this role you will work with local communities to promote health, prevent disease and maintain wellness, as well as work in partnership to assist and support families and whānau towards self-reliance in health.
We welcome applications from new graduate nurses and may consider a suitable new graduate for this position.

About you
Clinical skills in wound care and palliative care are preferred. You will be flexible and able to work in a variety of different settings including people’s homes, clinics, schools, and community centres.
You will have NZNC registration, a current practising certificate and a full driver's licence. You will be a great team player who’s passionate about community delivery and the health and wellbeing of our population. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and be committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and achieving equity.
If you are an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with broad knowledge and skills, and you have a passion for community nursing, this could be the position for you.
