About the Role
In Marlborough, Adult Mental Health Services are delivered by an established multi-disciplinary team based at the Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. This team delivers a comprehensive clinical resource to Adults affected by acute or enduring mental illness.
Working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team - this position would be of interest to experienced professionals looking to develop leadership mentoring skills or move into a mental health specific role, and to less experienced applicants wishing to attain greater clinical proficiency in a supported environment.
The team covers the roles of psychiatric emergency service as well as ongoing treatment for those with severe and enduring illnesses. As such Duties include Case Management, assessment and acute supervision of individuals presenting with mental health problems. The role will require you to train as a Duly Authorised Officer and depending on your roster may include regular weekend and on-call work or irregular overtime.

About you
You will need be a Registered Psychiatric or Comprehensive Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapists with an up to date knowledge of mental health and associated issues. You will possess the personal resilience and professional attributes required to undertake this challenging role.
