About the Role

 

The role is providing clinical expertise and leadership to ensure safe, efficient and effective services to individual clients and client groups. The CNS role has a key focus on the teaching of health professionals and patients/whanau through facilitation of both formal and informal learning opportunities.

 

The CNS constructively role models and mentors nurses to ensure the effective development of skill as well as the coordination and delivery of expert neurology care to people accessing health services across the continuum of care.

 

The CNS will actively contribute to the development of the specialty service in general and to nursing in particular through quality improvement initiatives. This role positively affects quality patient outcomes and influences achievement of improved outcomes across multiple settings.

 

The full-time equivalent salary range for this designated senior nurse position (Grade 2) is $116,040 to $127,674 based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

About You

If you are a skilled and committed registered nurse with expert knowledge and skills and a passion for neurology care - this could be the position for you. This role requires advanced nursing skill and theoretical knowledge within the neurology care domain of practice, as well as a strong commitment to ongoing education and training. You will have NZNC registration, a current practising certificate and a full driver's licence.
