About the Role

The Clinical midwife coordinator position will be providing clinical midwifery leadership and shift coordination on the after-hours shifts across birth suit and the maternity ward Monday to Sunday.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team at Nelson Maternity Services provides secondary level maternity care by our team of midwives, nurses and support staff and specialist services. Nelson Maternity service provides care for approximately 1000 women of the Nelson -Tasman region. The maternity service is staffed 24/7 across birthing suite and the antenatal/postnatal wards including a day assessment service and works closely with the Motueka Primary Maternity unit, the community midwifery team and Lead Maternity Carers to provide maternity services to meet the needs of our communities.

 About you

If you are an experienced midwife who would like to move to a designated senior midwifery position as a clinical midwife coordinator then apply today. The purpose of the position is to ensure there is a designated senior midwife on shift 24/7 across the secondary maternity service.

The majority of your shifts will be on the PM and night shifts across the weekdays and all shifts over the weekends.

Remuneration will be on the senior midwifery scale of grade 3 steps 2-3 depending on experience with applicable shift allowances/penalties form PM, nights, weekends and public holidays.
