Clinical Lead – Wheelchair, Seating and Postural Management

Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
We have a new, permanent, district wide role in the area of wheelchair, seating and postural management, inclusive of all ages. This is a 0.8FTE position, working 64 hours a fortnight, for a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist (0.2FTE leadership, 0.6FTE clinical). The position could be located in Nelson/Tasman or Marlborough.
As part of the role you will actively monitor wheelchair, seating and postural management accreditation and professional development opportunities across all services, considering the needs of our PHO partners, by including them in training opportunities.

You will be the type of person who is respected by peers, leads by example and motivates and influences others through your innovative, proactive and creative approach to all situations, including problem solving.
You will have:
- Several years’ clinical experience, with a minimum of 3 years Level 2 wheelchair and seating experience in either child, adult, or both populations.
- Proven leadership skills within physiotherapy/occupational therapy and inter-professional settings.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to network and develop key relationships and partnerships.
- Proven quality and system improvement experience.
- Ability to think and act strategically.

You will be working alongside other experienced Level 1 and 2 wheelchair & seating credentialed therapists, within paediatric and adult services.
