Clinical Engineering Technician

About the Role
As aClinical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, calibration, and safety testing of medical equipment used. You’ll need to:
- install and commission new health technology (i.e. medical equipment/systems);
- support, verify, calibrate, repair and maintain health technology throughout its life cycle;
- apply mathematical, science and engineering knowledge / concepts to inform and advise on processes and systems;
- guide and advise clinical as well as non-clinical staff;
- maintain quality and safety through performance testing, documentation and record keeping.
This is a permanent full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday.

About you
As aClinical Engineering Technician, you will have or be:
- Relevant tertiary engineering qualification New Zealand, Qualifications Authority (NZQA) level 7 or equivalent level of practical experience;
- Registered as an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson with the Electrical Workers Registration Board;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure;
- Effective communication skills to interact with a wide range of staff;
- Attention to detail and a professional team player attitude;
- A dynamic self-starter, who is outcome/solution focussed.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
