About the Role

As Clinical Administration Support in the Referral Centre, you will be working within a high performing team undertaking a range of duties to support the administration of external and interdepartmental referrals.

Duties will include but are not  limited to: preparing referrals by acknowledging receipt; inputting referrals into our patient management system; updating the status of referrals post triage; fielding enquiries from staff, clinicians and external referrers as well as reviewing and acting on reporting information to ensure targets are met. 

This role is permanent, full-time working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) between 07.00AM and 6.00PM, Monday to Friday.

About you

As Clinical Administration Support in the Referral Centre, you will enjoy the challenge of managing last minute changes, whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and staying calm when under pressure. 

You will be team focussed and thrive in a busy environment delivering quality customer service.

Previous administration and secretarial experience, a high degree of computer literacy and the ability to work autonomously are essential.

Experience with hospital management systems e.g. (SIPICS, Health Connect South, Winscribe) and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous. 

 Please note - our preferred applicant will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
