About the Role
As a Casual Clinical Administration Support, you will provide administrative support to our consultants and clinical teams.
The casual pool is made up of administrators and secretaries who work on assignments of varying lengths. They train with the staff member who's leaving, and continue in the role until a permanent replacement is appointed. This can take several weeks, or even several months, while we find the right fit for the role.
A typing speed of 50 words per minute is essential. Dictaphone experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.
As this is a casual position, hours are offered on an as-required basis to cover staff leave and vacancies across the hospital. Shifts may be rostered between 7.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Sunday, depending on service requirements.
No on-call is required.

About you
As a Casual Clinical Administration Support, you will:
- Respect the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality;
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a busy and varied workload;
- Be positive, adaptable, and possess excellent interpersonal skills;
- Provide a consistently high standard of customer service;
- Have strong computer skills, with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
