About the Role

The community midwife role works between the hours of 0700-1800 hrs Monday – Sunday providing antenatal clinics, primary assessments and postnatal visits in the community.
About the Team/Location
Nelson hospital is a secondary level maternity unit with approximately 1000 births per year. The core, community and LMC midwives work as a team with our Obstetric, Anaesthetic and Paediatric colleagues.

About you
- We are looking for a NZ registered midwife with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team. As a community midwife you will support safe, high-quality provision of antenatal and postnatal care for women unable to access a self-employed LMC
- You will be a high performing midwife with total commitment to women centred and culturally respectful care. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the broader organisational health care objectives. You will have access to Midwifery Educator support and a range of clinical experiences within your role.
