About the Role

As  the Call Centre / Enquiries Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring an efficient 24/7 service across  Nelson and Wairau Hospitals and community areas, working closely with other hospital services.  

You’ll have a team of Telephone Operators and Enquiries Staff reporting to you which you’ll need to demonstrate excellent leadership, knowledge and provide ongoing support to your team members, ensuring a positive working culture.

The Call Centre is the hub of the Hospitals.  You will need to ensure all calls for service  including emergency situations from Nelson and Wairau Hospitals  are managed to ensure a prompt and professional response  with urgency.

This position will require an understanding of the below and relevant training will be provided:

  • Standard hospital procedures;
  • On-call rosters for all consultants, Registrars, House Officers and After Hours on-call staff;
  • Duties associated with the Enquiries Kiosk;
  • Troubleshooting;
  • Provide quality customer service.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday with the possibility of weekends and Public Holidays.

About you

As a Call Centre / Enquiries Team Leader, you will:

  • Have  clear and articulate written communication skills;
  • Have good listening skills and demonstrate sound judgement;
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead by example.
  • Be a quick thinker and make decisions assertively whilst remaining calm.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
