Anaesthetic Technician or RN Anaesthetic Assistant
This is an excellent opportunity for an Anaesthetic Technician or Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant (AT or RNAA) to work with a dedicated team and gain valuable experience in a hospital setting - Nelson that promotes a positive work-life balance.
- Fixed term part time 0.7 FTE (56 hours per fortnight)

We are urgently seeking a NZ Registered AT or RNAA to cover a 12-month leave, starting as soon as possible. Shifts are flexible – rostered and rotating Monday to Sunday, including evenings, weekends and on-call. As an AT or a RNAA, you will:
- Assist anaesthetists during surgeries by preparing and handling anaesthetic equipment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain anaesthetic equipment and stock supplies.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support seamless and efficient operating theatre operations.
- Comply with hospital policies and safety standards, maintaining a high standard of patient care.

To be considered for this position you must
- Be a Registered AT or a RNAA, with a current APC issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ) or be eligible for the same.
- Have relevant experience in an anaesthetic or perioperative setting is preferred.
- Have strong attention to detail, effective communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Be ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the department and cope with a high and varied workload, including emergency situations.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
