About the Role

As an Anaesthetic Technician / RNAA, you will:

  • Assist anaesthetists during surgeries by preparing and handling anaesthetic equipment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Maintain anaesthetic equipment and stock supplies.
  • Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support seamless and efficient operating theatre operations.
  • Comply with hospital policies and safety standards, maintaining a high standard of patient care.

About you

To be considered for this position you must:

  • Be a Registered Anaesthetic Technician or a RNAA, with a current APC issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ) or be eligible for the same.
  • Have relevant experience in an anaesthetic or perioperative setting is preferred.
  • Have strong attention to detail, effective communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Be ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the department and cope with a high and varied workload, including emergency situations.
