About the Role

As an Administrator and Secretarial Support in the MH&A service, you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have responsibility for day-to-day administration and secretarial duties supporting our managers, clinicians and service users.

Duties will range from general office administration including telephone and reception work, organising appointments and scheduling clinics data entry, dictaphone typing of clinical correspondence, minute taking,  and liaising with other hospitals, funding providers, service users and GPs.

This is a permanent full time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE). The office hours are typically between 8.00AM and 5.00PM, Monday to Friday.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Mental Health and Addictions Service provides assessment, intervention and support for those adults, adolescents and children with short and long term mental health disorders and addictions.  The aim of the Service is to minimise disruption to the lives of these people and their whānau, hence most services are delivered in the community with inpatient services available if necessary.  We have approximately 300 staff working throughout the Marlborough, Nelson and Tasman districts. This position is based in Blenheim supporting both the Marlborough Adult Mental Health and Addictions teams.

About you

As an Administrator and Secretarial Support in the MH&A service,you will:

  • Have previous administration/secretarial experience;
  • Be a resourceful administrator/secretary with outstanding communication and organisational skills with a passion for delivering a consistently high level of customer service;
  • Be team focused and enjoy the challenge of a busy office;
  • Be a competent typist with a high degree of accuracy and sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
