About the Role
You will be working with an experienced multi-disciplinary team committed to providing high quality care to consumers and their family and whānau. This is an opportunity to further develop competencies in addiction treatment in a supportive and positive learning environment. You will facilitate a range of clinical interventions aimed at promoting the individual's well-being, aiding them in their recovery and enhancing their capacity to participate in community life.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Nelson Marlborough Health is the main health provider for the Te Tau Ihu, the top of the south. About you
You will be a New Zealand registered health professional (E.G. Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker), or Registered DAPAANZ), with a current APC and preferably with an addiction focus or study towards.
You will have a sense of humour, compassion, excellent communications skills, a non-judgmental attitude and a focus on developing interventions to reduce alcohol and drug related harms for both the individual and the community. It will also be important that you are experienced in delivering assessments and case management. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to work with a range of cultures and be a team player.
