Telephone Operator - Call Centre

 About the role

We are seeking to employ one casual Telephone Operator for our busy call centre at Nelson Hospital. This is a diverse role, where no two days are the same. It would appeal to someone who likes a challenge and job satisfaction. Key duties include answering the phone, after-hours reception duties dealing with the public, dealing with emergency situations, as well as generating and updating Doctors’ rosters.

This is a permanent casual position, flexibility is required to cover all shifts 24/7, sometimes at short notice.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a bright, friendly and outgoing personality with great interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus. You will be highly organised and efficient with the ability to multitask and handle pressure.

We expect intermediate computer skills, ideally with PC based switchboard experience, however we will consider applications from those without switchboard experience, where an aptitude for this type of work can be demonstrated as full training will be given.
