About the roles

We have two positions available for physiotherapists who are interested in working as part of multi-disciplinary teams. These roles require you to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs. You will display a genuine passion for working both in the hospital and in the community.

Position 1: 2 year, fixed-term, full time role (working 80 hours a fortnight) until 29/01/2021 within the Physiotherapy Team at Nelson Hospital.

The position would be suitable for new graduate or experienced therapists, and will involve rotating between Outpatients and AT&R.

Position 2: Permanent, part time role – working 40 hours a fortnight (0.5FTE) within our Child Development Service based at Nelson Hospital

The Child Development Service (CDS) provides multi-disciplinary therapy for children and youth with disabilities (0-16 years) in partnership with their families/whanau/caregivers. The physiotherapy role spans inpatient, outpatient and community settings including home and school visits. It is highly desirable that you have post graduate clinical experience in paediatrics. The team has a strong commitment to help children achieve optimum function and wellbeing in their everyday lives. 

Although this position is located in Nelson, you may form time-to-time be required to provide services in Blenheim.

About you

You will be a NZ Registered Physiotherapist with advanced comprehensive clinical assessment and problem solving skills. You will have the experience and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. You will have excellent communication skills to liaise with health professionals, both within the in-patient services and in the community.
