Administrative Support ED – Clinical Support Services

About the role

We have two permanent part-time positions available, each working 40 hours a fortnight (5 shifts) across early, late and night shifts covering a 24 hour day, 7 days a week roster. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team including surgeons, nurses, other clinical professionals and administration staff. Your primary responsibility will be for reception and administration duties to enable the smooth flow of patients through the department.

ED shifts:


06.45-15.15 hours 

07.45-16.15 hours


15.00 – 23.00 hours

16.00 – 00.00 hours


23.00 – 07.00 hours

The commencing salary for this role is $43,580 per annum (pro rata).

About you

It is essential that you have a positive attitude, excellent customer service and reception skills, as well as the ability to learn new tasks quickly and multi-task efficiently in a stressful clinical environment. Previous administration experience, a strong degree of computer literacy and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Experience with hospital management systems and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous. It is also important that you have the flexibility to work across early, late and night shifts.
