About the role

We are looking for a NZ registered Anaesthetic Technician to join our theatre team on a permanent full-time basis working 80 hours a fortnight (1.0FTE).

Nelson Hospital Theatre Suite consists of 6 Operating Theatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services department and Endoscopy Suite, and delivers on average 43 sessions requiring a general anaesthetic a week.

About you

To be considered for this position you must be registered with, and have an annual practising certificate (APC) issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ), or be eligible for the same.

You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.

In addition you must have:

  • Recent clinical experience with strong observational and crisis management skills
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
